Dress for Success

The dress code is designed to bring UAA students together as one unique and Students are expected to come to school dressed appropriately for a professional/educational environment.

  • Students must wear an official UAA t-shirt that is issued by the school (black/light blue).
  • If you ALTER UAA gear (length of shirt, collar, etc., it must be appropriate - you may have to purchase an additional shirt if it is deemed unprofessional or inappropriate. 
  • Students can wear any sweatshirt/jacket as long as a UAA t-shirt is worn underneath.
    • No non UAA t-shirts on top of a UAA t-shirt.
    • No “Band Shirt Friday.”
  • Appropriateness will not be a judgment call by students or parents. 
  • You cannot alter or remove any logo.
  • Students may wear any pants, shorts, overalls, or skirts that are appropriate for a professional/educational environment (fingertip length is a minimum).
  • No pajama bottoms.
  • The following items are not appropriate at UAA:
  • Blankets, and images or messaging including, but not limited to, profanity, drugs, weapons, or hate speech.
  • NEXT level classes will design and issue a UAA shirt for those groups/companies that can be worn as dress code approved
  • Directors can/may design shirts for shows/events/productions that can be worn as dress code approved
  • All Tuacahn gear is phased out and not in dress code.
